Chesapeake Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center is located in the Empire Medical Building at intersection of Oakwood Road and Hospital Drive in Glen Burnie, Maryland, across the street from Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Along with x-ray technology and a bone density scanner, our Open Extremity MRI is located on-site for fast and easy diagnosis.

Merge onto I-97 South exit 4, toward Annapolis/Bay Bridge. Merge onto MD-100 East exit 14A, toward Gibson Island. Take the Oakwood Road exit. Turn Right onto Oakwood Road. Turn Right onto Hospital Dr.

Travel West toward Baltimore. Take Oakwood Road, exit 15. Turn Left onto Oakwood Road. Turn Right on Hospital Drive.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. Our receptionists are available to answer your questions from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our answering service answers all calls after 4 p.m. In our practice, patients are seen by appointment only, except in the case of an emergency.
Please bring a current ID, insurance card, claim forms, referrals, disability forms, or any other form required for your appointment. In addition, please bring a complete list of medications you are currently taking, allergies, related x-rays, MRI's, lab results, and any other related tests or records. It is your responsibility to obtain this information and bring it with you because we require these records at your first appointment.
For registration purposes, new patients should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their appointment to complete their Registration Form. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify our office as soon as possible.
For Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO), a written or electronic referral from your primary care physician is usually required prior to your appointment. Should you not have a referral on file or do not bring a referral with you the day of your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule your appointment until a valid referral can be obtained. Obtaining a referral is your responsibility.
Our health insurance contracts require us to collect co-payments and deductibles at the time services are provided. For your convenience, Chesapeake Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center accepts cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard as forms of payment.
Should you require surgery, our Surgery Department will obtain authorization from your insurance company and our Billing Department will submit your insurance claim form. You are responsible for any co-payment or deductible as stated in your insurance policy. Should you not have insurance coverage, our Billing Department will work with patients that need to make payment plan arrangements. The Surgery Department will ask for a down payment prior to surgery with the remaining balance to be paid on a monthly basis not to exceed nine months.
