Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is used to diagnose an illness or injury. MRI’s can provide very detailed, three-dimensional pictures of areas of the body, identifying abnormalities that otherwise might not be detected. Also, because a magnet, radio waves, and a computer are used to create images, MRI is painless and radiation-free. An Open MRI provides all the same diagnostic information as conventional MRI, with the added benefit of an open space, which enhances patient comfort.
