Ms. Lentz joined the practice in 2001 after working with a pediatric
orthopaedist. She received her BSN in 1984 and her Masters of
Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong focus on
patient education from the University of Maryland School of
Nursing. After graduation, she became a staff nurse at the Adult
Orthopaedic/Organ Transplant unit of UMMS. For ten years
she was the nurse coordinator for the Maryland Center for
Limb Lengthening and Reconstruction at UMMS.
She has lectured on all aspects of limb lengthening and deformity
correction with external fixation. She recently lectured at Mayo
Clinic Centers for Nursing and national orthopaedic conferences on
ortho assessment and sports injures.
Ms. Lentz has held an Orthopaedic Nurse Certification through the National Association of Orthopaedic Nursing since 1998, and a board certification as a family nurse practitioner since 2000; both through American Nurses Credentialing Center.
